LaShonda Williams
Dr. Lashonda Williams, the founder of Faith Works Consulting Group, LLC received her PhD from the University of South Carolina. She has assisted both non-profit organizations as well as, colleges and universities since 2008. Helping nonprofits and other organizations that receive private and federal funding strategically implement scientific vigor and initiatives has become a true passion.
Dr. Lashonda J. Williams is the founder and CEO of Faith Works Consulting Group, LLC. Dr. Williams brings to Faith Works Consulting Group, LLC years of experience working with nonprofits, colleges and universities in promoting public health. Dr. Williams has a MBA and a PhD in Health Services Policy and Management. She is passionate about empowering the community with programs, skills, and knowledge to assist them in improving their health. She has worked to help reduce health disparities in African-American communities by working with Faith-based organizations, colleges and universities. For the last couple of years, Dr. Williams has been instrumental in implementing and disseminating programs aimed at increasing physical activity and increasing fruit and vegetable intakes in African-American families. She has worked as a Principal Investigator, Evaluator, and a Research Scientist. Dr. Williams has received extensive training in qualitative research. Her most recent research project involves working with a nonprofit organization to conduct qualitative research in the community. Dr. Williams research interests are food insecurity, diabetes, elderly, and community based participatory research. Dr. Williams’ vision for Faith Works Consulting Group, LLC is to equip nonprofits with the key skills and expertise they need to help even more people. She envisions a world without health disparities.
